With the US economy on the downslide, and a growing number people being concerned about the environment, more and more people are looking into alternative modes of transportation like mopeds, scooters, or motorized bicycles. Being a moped enthusiast myself, I ride my moped everywhere around my hometown Jacksonville, Florida. I get questions and comments all the time from people who are looking to either downgrade from a car or truck, or supplement their car or truck with a moped, scooter, or motorized bicycle.

At the end of 2008, I realized that it was difficult to direct them where to go to get information, because, in my opinion, there aren’t any really good, easy to read, easy to navigate, websites about scooters, mopeds, and motorized bicycles. There were dozens of websites about scooters, mopeds, or motorized bicycles, but hardly any about all of them. So, I decided to start my own.

I sat down and researched all of the websites I could find on the subject. During my research, I found many directory sites on the web. In my opinion, none of them did what they were intended for: to make it easier for a person to find information on the internet that they are interested in. Most of them were difficult to navigate or just confusing. So, I decided to take the website one step further. Instead of just being a great directory for Mopeds, Scooters, and Motorized Bicycles, LinxStreet.com is going to become the best website directory on the Internet, period.

How will we be the best? Because, first we will look for what you are looking for. Then, we will hand pick the best. Finally, we present them here for you.

Why do we have so few categories? Because we are starting out small, and we choose the links for each category by hand, one at a time. Instead of using volunteers with limited training and different agendas like some directories have, we will be editing the directory ourself.

No fancy algorithms. No links that lead to other pages full of links, that lead to other pages full of links, that lead to frustration! Just real websites with products and content that you want, picked out by real humans.
